Sales in Calgary’s resale housing market in May bounced back from historic declines in April, but remain well below the level achieved in May 2019, according to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB). Last month, home sales reached 1,080 units, almost twice as many as the 573 homes sold in April, which was a 63 per cent decline from April 2019.
A residential development was recently proposed to city council. The 55-story residential tower would be located in the Rivers District community (a Beltline site near the Elbow River). If approved construction could start in 2020.
